We visited these beautiful gardens in late July when it seemed everything was blooming! The most amazing scene was the bobcat casually walking outside the fence with a large bunny in his/her mouth. We were stunned as it was only a few feet from us. Look for it on the far side of the bridgeβ€”just to the left. We will definitely be back as we purchased a membership

My husband and decided to check out the Santa Fe Botanic gardens on a Tuesday morning and it’s really well done! I think we spent about 1.5 hours strolling around, admiring the plants, and the art work. The docent we spoke to was friendly and steered us to lunch at the Museum Hill Cafe when we were ready to leave. I live in Colorado and will look for some of the water thrifty plants we saw at the gardens for my own yard.

I loved this place. Such a pleasant walk seeing the plants and sculptures. I want to come back in a couple months when more plants have developed and bloomed

It is a relatively small garden that combines native plants with sculpture. So even though we visited in late April and most plants were just starting to grow it was worth visiting.

This botanical garden, begun in 2013, is preparing for another expansion. On a recent mid-March visit, even though only a few plants were beginning to bloom, there was still a lot to see: the hardscape, a Native sculpture exhibit, repair work on the beehive-shaped adobe hornos, and different sections of the garden --with plants native to the area and those Europeans brought with them when they came to New Mexico. The Garden had many visitors on the day I was there, but it wasn't crowded. If you are looking for something interesting and off-the-beaten-path to do during your time in Santa Fe, I'd recommend this. Walking leisurely, it will take you about an hour to explore Santa Fe Botanical Garden, but you might want to stop and relax on one of the many inviting benches along the way to extend your visit.
